“This is not New York!”
Hiro looked up with confusion at the high towering walls. He was not familiar with any place like this. It was only the fact that he could bend time and space and wouldn’t be late to save the world that soothed his panic.
He concentrated, willing his power to the surface.
"What is wrong with me? Why will my power not work?"
“‘ello!” A small voice called out in greeting
“Hello? Who is there?” He turned about, trying to find the source of the voice and somewhat thankful that he’d come to a place that used a language he knew as their own. But why could he not see the person who addressed him? Were they invisible?
“‘ello! Down here!”
“Did you talk?”
Hiro had seen some weird, unbelievable and completely awesome things over the past couple of months and he was usually the first to believe in the impossible...
The blue worm-creature (with a cute little red scarf) sniffed. “I did. Jus’ sayin’ ‘ello.”
But this was rather odd. Even for him.
“I can talk to animals!?”
“Oi! I’m not an animal! I’m a wyrm! Yer very rude.”
“I am very confused.”
“Was gonna invite ya ta tea. But, if ya want ta leave, I suggest you go that way.”
The blue wyrm turned and wriggled away into the wall.
Hiro, bewildered, decided to follow the wyrm’s advice and headed towards the looming castle.

But you can't leave it there, surely!

*pouts*
Plus, anything the reader's mind could come up with would probably be more interesting anyway.
