Xander turned to thank their rescuer (though New York muggers were no match for vamps).
He was too late to warn Willow. He watched as her eyes widened and her mouth fell open in shock before her face was transformed by terror as she shrieked louder than a banshee. (He should know, he’d dated one.)
Mercifully, she passed out into his arms.
“Erm. Thanks. We really appreciated the save,” he smiled awkwardly.
“Is she gonna be okay?” he asked.
“Yeah. It’s just. You’re very--green,” he ended lamely.
The man-sized turtle looked skeptical but left.
Mutant turtles. In New York. Cool.
