Day 27: Dinner at Bobby's
Title: Dinner at Bobby's
Author: Lady Yueh
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: G

Characters: Dean. Sam. Bobby. Castiel
Date: December 27
Author’s Notes: Request was for Cas to have X-mas dinner with the boys and Bobby, but my Muse didn't think Cas was comfortable enough around anyone who wasn't Dean. Just a snippet of random stuff really.
---------
“No,” was the first thing Dean said as Castiel materialized.
“Whatever Seal business you’re here for it can wait a couple of hours.” Dean interrupted the angel as he opened his mouth to speak, gaining him glares and disapproving glances from three quarters.
“You’d rather have dry turkey than avert the apocalypse,” Bobby chastised.
Dean crossed his arms mulishly.
“Dean could care less as long as there’s pie and eggnog,” Sam commented in a low and bitchy voice.
“Is there Seal business?” Sam asked Castiel worriedly.
“No,” Castiel answered. “I simply wished to, as they say, extend goodwill towards men.”
Castiel looked slightly awkward and uncertain, out of his depth with doing mortal things.
“Well, I’ll be,” Bobby said as he shook his head and went back to the kitchen, dragging Sam with him (he needed at least one slav-ah assistant). “Invite the boy for dinner,” he muttered to Dean.
Dean resisted the urge to sigh and settled for smirking instead. “Don’t suppose you wanna stay for dinner?”
Castiel frowned. “I do not eat.”
“That’s not the…point,” Dean finished with a sigh. Castiel was gone.
“Merry Christmas, Cas,” he murmured before turning back to the kitchen to try and sneak morsels.

I disturb myself sometimes. Upon rereading this, that scene with Bobby telling Dean to invite Cas? It reads to me as a parent pushing their kid to invite their crush over or something. I can't take the slash goggles off!

Really enjoyed this fic
Am sure Dean was disappointed cause he probably had mistletoe waiting for the Angel to make an appearance. :P

I dunno about Dean and mistletoe (he's still in denial) but someone else might decide to move things along...hee.
