erinm_4600 who has a yen for CamLam. It's really late and I've had zero sleep (as you can tell from the title) but here it is. (I really need a Cam icon.)

Dr. Caroline Lam, like many other SGC personnel, liked Lt. Col. Mitchell. He is a charming and attractive man who, like herself, is relatively new on the block.
He is SG-1, yes, but not everyone thought so.
So, when he's laid up in bed after one of his dangerously heroic stunts he gets visitors, not because he was SG-1, but because he's Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell.
She's checking his vitals when his reflexes kick in and his hand grabs hers in a strong, but not painful, grip. His blue eyes are lucid despite the copious amounts of sedatives and painkillers.
“Date?” he questions with a sleep-roughened voice.
And while that little voice inside her head twitters that he might be asking her out, it’s beaten down ruthlessly by common sense and professionalism. (And if Cameron Mitchell is serious about asking her out then he can ask again.)
“It’s Thursday,” she informs him.
His expression says that doesn’t help.
“It’s March 22nd ,” she clarifies.
He lets her wrist go to cover his face. “Good Lord in Heaven,” he mutters.
“Colonel?” she can’t help but ask. “Is something wrong?”
He smiles weakly. “Nothin’ much. Granma’s gonna give me a tongue-lashing for not callin’er on her birthday though.”
As if being a charming, chivalrous, attractive, and heroic fly-boy wasn’t enough. The man dotes on his Grandmother!
She's doomed.
