“This is ridiculous!” Rodney blustered.
“Aww, c’mon, McKay!” John wheedled.
Ronon and Teyla watched with a mixture of exasperation and amusement from long standing exposure to their bickering.
“What? You don’t actually expect me to believe that Santa left us presents, do you?” Rodney’s tone clearly conveyed his feeling on the matter.
John frowned. “It’s Christmas, McKay. Just enjoy the food and gifts, would you?”
“You know McKay’s not happy unless he’s complaining,” Ronon commented as he bit into a sugar cookie.
John chuckled.
Teyla hid a smile.
Rodney glared.
“Oh, very mature. Like we can’t tell who got what for whom.”
“That’s half the fun, figuring out your Secret Santa.”
Rodney smirked. “Well, I can tell that you got--”
John clapped a hand over Rodney’s mouth. “Do not,” he warned.
Rodney bit John’s hand.
John grimaced and smacked Rodney.
It devolved into shenanigans after that.
Teyla sighed and Ronon passed her a sugar cookie.
“This isn’t like the Christmas movies,” he observed.
“I doubt very few things are like movies,” Teyla answered.
“McKay’s really coming along in his training.”
“Hmm.”
“I liked the knife you got me. Virutian?”
“It is. I’m glad you liked it. I’m sure Rodney appreciates your gift as well.”
Ronon smirked.
“Are we going to stop them?”
“They’ll be tired soon enough.”

Date: 2008-12-23 09:29 pm (UTC)Ha! I would say something along the lines of: "they're such little boys" but my brother and I still act like that. So, it's a common human affliction, methinks. And for all that Ronon and Teyla pretend to be above it all...they're not completely innocent, is all I'm saying.
That was fucking adorable, you know this, right?
I almost died from teh cute.
Apparently, all my stuff has been cute/adorable lately. I'll be concerned if it keeps up after X-mas.
